International Student Orientation
Fall 2024 International Student Orientation (ISO) Program
Arrival/residence hall move-in for students participating in International Student Orientation (ISO): Thursday, August 15, 2024
International Student Orientation (ISO) will be a 3-day Orientation that will be held from Friday, August 16th through Sunday, August 18th in Gaylord Hall in the Worner Campus Center. ISO是 强制性的 for all students on an F-1 or J-1 visa and is designed to provide you with valuable information and facilitate your transition to 科罗拉多大学. By participating you will gain essential information about:
- immigration rules and regulations that affect your visa status
- academic and student life at CC
- campus and community resources

- opportunities to meet other new international students at CC
- Cover cultural adjustment and coping skills

International Student Orientation (ISO) Mentors are upperclass international students who serve as orientation leaders and role models to help with your transition to CC and help prepare you for what's ahead. ISO Mentors will welcome our new international students when they arrive on campus, 在ISO期间支持您, and continue through the fall semester by organizing events and serving as a resource for questions about U.S. 在CC的文化和生活.

Hi! My name is Kathrin and I am an international student from Vienna, Austria. I am majoring in International Political Economy and am the assistant Secretary General of Model United Nations on campus! My passions include painting, cooking homemade meals and doing gymnastics. I am a Bonner Fellow which enables me to do community service with a local NGO in Colorado Springs fighting housing displacement while on the block-plan. I am very excited to be your ISO Mentor and hope you will enjoy CC as much as I do!

你好! 我的名字是以斯帖Ineza. I am a rising sophomore here at CC planning to major in Chemistry and Minor in French. I live in Rwanda, but I also grew up in Kenya, Uganda, and DR Congo. Some of the clubs I'm involved in on campus include CASU (Caribbean and African Student Union), 黑人学生会, CC圈K国际, and the ISAB (International Student Advisory Board). I'm excited to meet and help adjust to living and studying at CC.

你好! 欢迎 to 科罗拉多大学 My name is Febby Nonde. I am a sophomore from Zambia majoring in film and media studies. 我喜欢摄影和烹饪. I am the social media and outreach coordinator for Black Student Union at CC. Other than photography and cooking I love hanging out my friends especially at the Tava Quad at CC ( I will show you the tava quad when you are here). Have a safe trip to CC and I am looking forward to seeing you all.

你好朋友! I'm Chenxin Xiang (Or you can use my preferred name Cindy). 我来自中国武汉. 我是即将升入大二的学生. I'm interested in biology and chemistry, so I probably will major in either Molecular Biology or Biochemistry. I'm one of the co-chairs of the CC Chinese Student Association, and I work for the Creativity&Innovation Department as a student facilitator. "Opportunity" must be the word I would use to describe my first year at CC. 开放的, innovative atmosphere at CC where professors and students foster endless possibilities, while ample alone time allows for personal reflection and progress. Growth here seems like it is tangible, and you can actually feel your changes. 欢迎!!!
